How To Overcome Your Daily Mental Battles

Remember, the primary project you have in this life is YOU.

We all have internal battles to become better versions of ourselves without putting in consistent time and effort, wanting to see the changes immediately. In this process, we fall into the struggle that takes place in our minds when it comes to doing productive and healthy behaviors. Frustrations can creep up, especially when you just don't know where to begin.

If you change your negative thoughts with positive ones and celebrate the small successes, this mental battle will cease to exist. Remember, the primary project you have in this life is You. Here are some examples of how you can change your thinking pattern to quit the daily mental battles.

  1. Instead of saying “this is too hard for me” say, "this is new, and I am learning."

  2. Replace “I have made a massive mistake and everyone saw it" with, "I had a human moment. Even if someone noticed, I know they’ve made mistakes too. No one will remember tomorrow."

  3. When you have overwhelming thoughts, avoid saying “I’m having a breakdown” instead, replace it with "this feels like a breakdown, but it might be part of a breakthrough."

You have to choose to have a breakthrough instead of a breakdown. There are ways that can help you overcome your mental battle if you practice them regularly. Some of those are:

  • Listening to music

  • Meditating

  • Exercising

  • Trying a new hobby

  • Cuddling

  • Spending time with friends and family

  • Laughing

  • Writing things down

Affirmation
I’m prioritizing myself over my inner battles. I am working on myself every day and taking care of my mental wellbeing. I am able to grow and get better at life than I used to be.
