Meet Our Co-Founder, Amanda Marino
In the world of recovery, few people can match the compassion, dedication, and expertise of our co-founder, Amanda Marino. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Amanda is a proud member of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS) and one of the featured experts on A&E's “Digital Addiction.” She is a certified Recovery and Life Coach, a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP), and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine. Throughout her journey, Amanda has had the privilege of learning from some of the most skilled clinicians and interventionists around the globe, continuously honing her skills to provide the most effective support to her clients. Over the last decade, she has dedicated her life to assisting individuals suffering from substance use disorders, low self-esteem, and mental or emotional barriers. Her mission is clear: to guide individuals on their journey towards a life defined by happiness, purpose, and fulfillment.
Personal Experience
What sets Amanda apart is her unique personal history. She's not just a professional speaking from academic knowledge or clinical experience; she's a warrior who has firsthand experience with addiction, abuse, and body dysmorphia. Amanda knows the struggle, the pain, and the journey—and, most importantly, the redemption and recovery. It's this intimate understanding that underpins Amanda's empathetic approach to her clients. She's seen the ravages of addiction from both sides, making her uniquely qualified to guide individuals through the healing process.
Her Philosophy
Amanda believes that the opposite of addiction is connection—a principle that underlies her work. Her approach is multifaceted, drawing from her diverse educational background and experiences. In addition to individual coaching, her services include intervention, treatment consulting, and educational speaking engagements. Amanda's expertise extends beyond substance abuse to digital use disorders such as problematic gaming, social media addiction, and internet use disorders. She focuses on the whole person and family system to foster holistic recovery.
Women Empowering Women
In 2015, Amanda started Women Empowering Women in Recovery, a non-profit organization providing college scholarships for women recovering from Substance Use Disorders. This initiative further underscores her belief in education as a key tool for empowerment and change.
It’s About People
The bottom line for Amanda isn't about credentials or accolades; it's about people. It's about guiding individuals through the darkness of their past traumas and helping them rebuild their lives. For Amanda, empowerment isn't just about survival—it's about thriving and building a life filled with joy, purpose, and fulfillment.
